How I Was Able to Lose 10 Pounds in 1 Month - My Top Three Tips









I was able to lose 10 pounds in 1 month and I want to share my success secrets with you. My sister was also able to lose the same amount using these three techniques.
1) Nothing white is allowed on your plate. This includes white rice, white pasta, white bread, white flour - you get the picture. Studies have proven that dieters who changed from white, refined grains to whole grains lost more weight, especially in their abdominal areas. Look for packaging that says "whole grains". Labeling that just says "natural" or "wholesome" is not enough. These are basically white breads that are dyed to look like they have whole grains in them. Don't be fooled.
2) Sugar is not your friend. Sure, it's sweet, but it is definitely not nice and it's found in places you wouldn't think to look. You know it's in your soda but what about your ketchup, fruit juices, and energy bars? My top sugar-busting tip is to rely on a sugar substitute item to get you through the withdrawal phase. Mine was Weight Watchers candy bar ice cream bars. The first week I ate a box and a half. But by week two, half the box was still sitting in the freezer and I didn't need to go buy any more. Other sweet fixes are whole fruits, smoothies made from frozen berries and fruit (with no sugar added of course), and whole grain toast with All Fruit brand raspberry spread. Yummy!




3) Eat what makes you feel full. I looked for the whole grain cereal with the most fiber I thought I would be able to get down in the morning. I ended up choosing shredded wheat with extra fiber and they have been a lifesaver. A bowl of these with a banana and fat-free milk really keeps me feeling full and I have to remind myself to eat lunch. Then for lunch, I try to snack on red peppers because they keep you feeling fuller longer due to capsaicin. It stops the messages from the stomach to the brain that say "Feed me or I am going to die." I learned this one from Dr. Oz and it really works!
